"Syrian army & Daesh heavily clash in Dayr al-Zawr"

Deir ez-Zor. 01/15/2017

Today the situation in the enclave for the Deir ez-Zor complicated.

Infantry Caliphate after massive shelling could drive a wedge into the defensive positions of the Syrians to the west of the airfield 2145887703040 and endanger road connecting the town with the air base. At the same time attacking the Khilafah area airbase, In case of violation of internal lines of communication, there is a serious risk that the defense system will be destroyed and the militants will be able to cut the enclave to the west of the base. Syrians due to the few reserves held several counterattacks and stopped the advance of insurgents. Syrian aircraft during the day struck west of the airbase 0696978728353796 At the moment, there are fierce battles. Party lost several dozens of people killed and wounded in the last 2 days. We should expect the revitalization of the aircraft to support the enclave (it is possible that you have to connect the long-range bomber and videoconferencing RF). To attack the militants used as troops stationed in the area of Deir ez-Zor, and transferred from the western part of Iraq, where they have recently been used for local offensives in Rutby area.

In general, the situation is most difficult for Assad, as promptly release the enclave quickly will not work, so you have to keep as far as possible to throw back reinforcements and resources to support the possibility of resistance, all bounced back virtually the same and remains, that creates a lot of problems for strategic planning. As a potential countermeasures, the CAA will likely take several offensives against the Caliphate (in addition to the already launched an offensive under Tiyasom) in order to pull the fighters forces to other fronts.

Military Expert: Israel Furious at Syrian Army's Advance in Wadi Al-Bardi

A prominent Syrian military expert stressed the army's astonishing advances in Wadi al-Bardi region of Western Ghouta in Western Damascus, and said Israel is angry at these victories and launched the recent strike against al-Mezzeh airbase to retaliate for these victories.

Major General Ali Maqsoud noted that Wadi al-Bardi's importance is more than simply supplying drinking water for Damascus, and said the region is linked to al-Zabadani and al-Madhaya from the West and connects al-Qalamoun to al-Haramoun to have a strategic importance.

"The Zionist regime seeks to surround Damascus via al-Qalamoun-al-Haramoun path," he warned.

"The Syrian army's control over al-Madhaya, al-Zabadani, Deir Qanoun, Ain al-Fijeh and Basima provoked Israel's attack against al-Mezzeh region and Israel attempted to support the terrorists with this attack and prevent the cut-off of their supply route and recapturing of all these regions by the Syrian army which would result in failure of the plots to surround Damascus," Maqsoud said.

In relevant remarks on Saturday, adviser to Syrian information minister Ali Ahmad said that Israel bombed Syria when it felt falling morale of terrorists, thus encouraging and supporting them.

"When Israel attacks Damascus, it cannot be taken as an isolated case. When Israel feels weakness in the body of the terrorists in Syria, it is trying to encourage and support terrorists and does so by bombing [Syria]," Ahmad said.

He added that the West and Israel did not want peaceful life to return to Syria as "functioning of the Syrian government does not correspond to the interests of Israel, and so they want to support terrorists and to strengthen them."

On Thursday night, Israel conducted heavy bombing of al-Mezzeh military airport near Damascus.

Iraqi Commander: US Choppers Helping ISIL Terrorists in Hamreen Region Overnight

The US helicopters have helped the ISIL terrorists in Hamreen mountains in several nighttime operations during the past several weeks, a senior commander of the Iraqi popular forces in the region disclosed on Sunday.

"It seems that the US troops are looking for a new scenario to disrupt the military operations in the city of Mosul through conflicts in Hamreen strategic mountains," the commander said.

The strategic Hamreen mountain stretches from Salahuddin to Diyala and from there to Kirkuk province. Hamreen mountain is of paramount strategic importance as it fully oversees the region.

Last Monday, the Iraqi volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) blocked the US soldiers' path to Mak'hul mountain in Northern Salahuddin and expelled them from the region once again.

The Arabic-language media reported that al-Nujaba Movement forces prevented the US army men from climbing Mak'hul mountain that is under the full control of Hashd al-Sha'abi and Iraqi security forces.

The al-Nujaba Movement noted that that the US soldiers and their armored vehicles intended to climb Mak'hul mountain but al-Nujaba forces pushed them back them from the region.

Last Saturday, the al-Nujaba Movement had also blocked the US army troops from climbing the same mountain.

In late October, Deputy Chief of the Nineveh Provincial Council Noureddin Qablan announced that the US-led coalition warplanes launched airstrikes on an army base in Nineveh province, killing several soldiers.

"The US fighter jets hit one of the military bases of Iraqi Army's 16th Division in a region North of Mosul, and the attack left four Iraqi soldiers dead," Qablan said.

He said that the US army confirmed the attack, calling it a "mistake".

Qablan said that it was not the first time the US warplanes hit the Iraqi army and volunteer forces military positions, adding, "The US-led coalition has each time said that air raids were not deliberate."
