Rodney Shakespeare discusses Slovak PM urging end to referendums

Slovak PM urges end to referendums - YouTube

The Slovak Prime Minister has called on European leaders to stop holding referendums on domestic issues.
Robert
Fico said that the referendums pose a threat to the European Union and
its currency. Fico also criticized Italy’s last month referendum on
reforms plan and Britain’s vote on leaving the EU in June 2015. In
Slovakia, a far-right group has also started a petition calling for a
referendum on the country’s membership of the 28-nation bloc. The
central European country joined the EU along with nine other countries
in 2004.
