ISIS update 3/26/2017..Israeli Airstrikes Contribute To Further Escalation

Israeli Airstrikes Contribute To Further Escalation Of Syrian Conflict

Syria to Fire Scuds at Israel in Response to Airstrikes

The Syrian government has announced that it will retaliate should Israel continues to conduct airstrikes on Syrian territory, media sources reported.

Any further airstrikes on Syrian territory will be met with deadly force and retaliation strikes deep within Israeli soil, Sputnik reported.

Sputnik added that according to a message, delivered via Russian mediators, attacks on Syrian military objects will be met with Scud missiles launched at Israeli military (IDF) bases. If Israel attacks civilian infrastructure, Syrian missiles will be fired at Israel's Haifa port and petrochemical plant. The missiles will be launched without any prior notice, the statement said.

The notice follows Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's March 20 statement that protecting its borders is the right and obligation of every nation.

"Syria's forceful response to the Israeli attacks changed the rules of the game," said Syrian Ambassador to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari.

He added that the threatened response is "appropriate and in line with Israel's terrorist operation," and that Israel "will now think a million times (before striking again)".

On March 17, Israeli military reported several airstrikes on Syrian territory; they were followed by several anti-aircraft missiles launched at Israeli warplanes flying over Syrian territory. One of the missiles was reportedly intercepted by Israel's Arrow missile defense system. However, Syrian authorities claim they successfully downed an Israeli plane not far from Damascus.

Following the incidents, Israel threatened to conduct strikes specifically to destroy Syrian anti-air batteries.

Rojava News: Operation Tabqa Dam

The American landing landed on the southern bank of the Euphrates to the west of Tabka immediately brought about 2 major changes in the configuration of the war in Northern Syria. On the one hand, the Americans cut off the path for the SAA to Rakka along the Euphrates River, which, after the fall of Deir-Khafir, was, in principle, on the agenda. Now such an offensive loses its original meaning, because sooner or later it will rest on the American foothold, to which the Americans show that they are not interested in sharing the laurels of Rakki's conquerors with Russia or Turkey. On the other hand, the creation of this bridgehead violates the logistics of the Caliphate in areas west of Tabka than the SAA can fully benefit by expanding its control zone east of Aleppo and in the western regions of the province of Rakka.

Of course, the SAA could, with the support of Russia and Iran, hasten to Rakka, assembling the strike group in the region of Itria and advancing across the intersection to the east of it and turning further to Tabka. But given the current problems in Ham, the fighting near Damascus, Palmyra, in Eastern Kalamun, it is unlikely that the Syrians will embark on such an adventure with open flanks, which may have a political, but hardly military justification, especially since the US operation is developing quite Successfully and they will occupy key points much earlier than the Syrians.

........................Cleansing Tabka, the dam area and the city of Al-Tavra, Americans with the help of the Kurds will solve an important task to ensure conditions for an independent storming of Rakki.

The local failure of the Americans with the first assault on the Tabka dam, was only a nuisance, which was easily overcome. Several killed Kurds and wounded special forces, this is certainly unpleasant, but not critical.

The Kurds are already entrenched on the dam and joyfully demonstrate with her numerous photographs. The Americans gradually advanced the side of the bridgehead to the west. Their main goal here is the airbase Tabka. Occupying Tabka and the air base, they will be able to build a military base here with an airfield that will play an important role in the subsequent operations against Rakki, and at the same time cut off the Syrian army (as Manjige cuts off Rakka Erdogan) from Rakki if she decides to race for Racco. In general, the American plan is still working. In the form in which operations are currently developing in Syria as a whole, the United States is more or less confident in looking to the future, since under Obama the situation developed so that the United States risked altogether staying out of the Syrian war. Now, they have good cards, which they will certainly play when it comes to negotiations on an inter-Syrian settlement. For the Kurds, these successes are important in that they strengthen their positions in the bargaining with Assad about the post-war national and territorial structure of Syria, where the Kurds are seeking broad autonomy at this stage, as the Turkish invasion prevented the implementation of more ambitious plans. Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Establishes Full Control over Key Military Airport in Aleppo Province

The Syrian army managed to restore full security over a strategic military airport in Eastern Aleppo.

The Kuweires military airport in now fully secured after the Syrian army took control over villages and strategic heights there.

The Syrian army also advanced in other key provinces across Syria.

Aleppo

The Syrian army could establish full security at Kuweires military airport after liberating tens of towns, villages and strategic heights in Eastern Aleppo.

A military source said that full security has prevailed in the airbase and the army's positions in Eastern Aleppo for the first time since 2014 after the strategic city of Deir Hafer was won back from the ISIL terrorists earlier today.

The army has managed to seize control of over 170 towns and villages and tens of strategic heights from the ISIL since the start of its military operations in Eastern Aleppo in January 2017.

The Syrian army forces had completed their siege over Deir Hafer on Friday and liberated the city earlier on Saturday.

The army units started massive and heavy attacks against the terrorists in Deir Hafer region from the two Northern and Southern directions, and liberated the two towns of Jeni al-Salameh and Um al-Mara near Um Adaseh and Khalileh towns just to the East of Deir Hafer on Friday.

All supply routes of the terrorist group in the region had been blocked on Friday.

Deir Ezzur

The ISIL has been reported to be detaining and executing a large number of its forces in Deir Ezzur city after several militants and commanders defected the terrorist group.

The websites affiliated to the terrorists reported that the ISIL has executed 4 ISIL members in al-Asharah town in Deir Ezzur under the pretext that they have escaped battle and opened fire on their comrades.

The terrorist group has also executed 8 of its foreign members who wanted to defect the ISIL at al-Maqas checkpoint in Deir Ezzur in the Southern entrance of Raqqa province.

The ISIL erected a large number of checkpoints in Bu Kamal city in Eastern Deir Ezzur after several of its commanders and members fled the area.

Hama

The Syrian army troops launched massive operations against al-Nusra (Fatah al-Sham) Front in Northern Hama and regained control of lost lands.

The last group of terrorists stationed in Shizar village in Northwestern Hama was annihilated in the army operation and their vehicles and military equipment were destroyed.

Shizar village was liberated after the operations by the government forces.

Meantime, the Syrian army units engaged in heavy clashes with the terrorists who had entered the villas in Kafr al-Toun region, killing and wounding a large number of militants.

The remaining terrorists left their weapons and ammunition in the battleground and fled the scene.

Also, the engineering units of the army started the demining operations in the region after its liberation.

Damascus

The Syrian troops fended off a series of offensives by al-Nusra (Fatah al-Sham) Front terrorists to break the siege on their comrades in al-Ma'amel (plants) region and regained control of all occupied areas in Northern Jobar.

The Syrian army units smashed the last remaining bases and gathering centers of the terrorists in al-Ma'amel region in Northern Jobar and won back control of all points and blocks occupied by the terrorists between Jobar and al-Qaboun regions as well as the textile and weaving factories.

The victories were gained after heavy clashes with the terrorists.

The army's artillery and missile units also targeted the militants' positions near the textile and weaving factories with heavy fire.

Raqqa

The predominantly Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), fighting the ISIL within the framework of the Euphrates Rage Operation, reached al-Tabaqa dam and won control of several villages.

Jeihan Sheikh Ahmad, the Euphrates Rage Operation spokesman, said that the SDF forces arrived in the strategic dam after heavy clashes with the ISIL militants in the Western parts of Raqqa.

They continued to advance in the region and gained control of 8 villages and a large number of farms in the Western coasts of the Euphrates river after killing and wounding tens of ISIL terrorists.

Other sources also reported that the SDF forces have started offensives against the ISIL in al-Tabaqa city.

Meantime, Talal Salou, the SDF forces' spokesman, said that the army forces can also join the operations to liberate Raqqa.
